Leeds United have started the season just how we all hoped with a 1-0 win over Wolves. As a side, we look like a solid unit who aren't going to concede many goals. Certainly not soft goals which has been something our defences have become known for in recent years. A great start to the season and lets hope for much of the same!

Here are my ratings:

Paddy Kenny: 6

Had next to nothing to do and when called upon had no problem with dealing with any corners or set pieces.

Sam Byram: 7

Just like last week against Shrewsbury, the youngster had no difficulty at all and to the untrained eye could have been a part of United's defence for years.

Lee Peltier: 7

Like United's defence, looked solid and never put a foot wrong when called upon.

Jason Pearce: 7

Simiarly to Peltier, didn't put a foot wrong and was at the heart of United's solid back four. A fantastic addition to the defence by Warnock.

Aidan White: 6

If there was a weak link in United's defence today, it was probably Aidan White. He didn't look great and I feel that Wolves' attack had the beating of him.

Paul Green: 6

Green had a great start to the game before his untimely injury. Hopefully his injury isn't too serious and he can get back in the side, having the same effect as he did today.

David Norris: 7

Norris had a sound game and was part of a strong midfield. Clayton who?

Rodolph Austin: 7

Had a shakey start to the game but once he settled in looked quality. Will never shy away from a tackle and also has the ability to pass in his locker.

Luke Varney: 6

Should have scored. Tried as hard as anybody today but unfortunately didn't quite have that crucial end product.

Ross McCormack: 8

Provided the assist for the goal following a great ball from Paddy Kenny and continued to look dangerous whenever he attacked. Happy Birthday Ross!

Luciano Becchio: 8

Scored the winning goal with a great diving header. 2 goals already this season, long may it continue.

El-Hadji Diouf: 7

Replaced the unfortunate Paul Green and played well. Very controlled on the ball and at times applied a calmness that was certainly required. Another clever signing from Neil Warnock.

Tom Lees: 7

Didn't have long on the field but was calm and controlled on the ball when required. Looks much more confident in comparison to last season but he could have a fight on his hands getting back into the starting eleven.

Neil Warnock: 10

Feel the manager deserves a lot of credit here. He has put an extremely solid side together under impossible circumstances.

We couldn't have started the season any better, roll on Blackpool! Please provide your player ratings below!
