Leeds United have made an approach for Leicester City right-back Lee Peltier as Neil Warnock begins his summer spending.

The Yorkshire Evening Post believes that negotiations are taking place between the two sides after Leeds made an official approach.

Warnock reiterated his desire yesterday to bring in as many players as possible before the squad start pre-season training on Wednesday of next week. Any future deals or amount available to spend all depends on the possible takeover which would allow Warnock the freedom to do more in the market after a frustrating start.

Leicester are looking to get a few players of their books as they trim their squad ahead of the new season. After selling Matt Mills yesterday it appears that Peltier could be next.

Peltier wasn't included in the Foxes fitness tests last week as the club look to recoup some of the £750,000 they paid for him. The 25-year-old is set to replace Paul Connolly in defence....

But once again we wait on any sign of investment!
