Yesterday Leeds United completed their second summer signing in the shape of Norwich City defender Adam Drury. Below is what the long serving Norwich legend had to say to the official site on his move after serving the Canaries for 11 years.
"I was at Norwich for 11 years, I'd had a testimonial and I just think it was time to move on really. Everything moves on, football moves on, life moves on, and it was a time for me to move on. I'm excited about what I'm coming into, and I can't wait to get going.""I had a few options, there was some interest and I could have gone abroad but with what could happen here it's a massive pull and I want to be a part of it. Once Leeds United came up there wasn't any choice to make. Obviously with the manager and what he's looking to achieve here, I want to be a part of it. After I'd met him and spoke to him, and the way he sold the club...there's obviously big things ahead. This is a great opportunity for me at this stage of my career and I want to be a part of it. He's not going to settle for second best and he expects to be challenging, and he's looking to bring others in, and I'm just glad to be a part of that.""Jonny (Howson) and Bradley (Johnson) said what the training ground was like and I've had a look around and it's fantastic. You see the size of the training ground and the size of the fanbase here as well...There's been some good games against as well over the past few years, some close games, and the atmosphere has always been fantastic, and I'm looking forward to playing at Elland Road.""It's a tough league to get out of. It'll be open but we've got as good a chance as anybody. Talking to the manager, he wants to be up there challenging. He doesn't know how long he's going to be managing for, but he wants to give it one more go and be up there."
