United produced a good, spirited performance at the Madejski Stadium. The game saw a lot of Reading fans accusing the Whites of cheating for merely getting stuck in. Think of that what you will, but other than a poor challenge from Danny Pugh and a red card for Zac Thompson that wasn't deserved, I thought it was a Leeds side getting stuck in for the cause and sticking within the rules of the game by doing so.

Here are my ratings:

Andy Lonergan: 7

Despite not having much to do in the United goal, dealt with many corners and free kicks without too much hassle and can't really be blamed for either goal.

Tom Lees: 6

Didn't do too much wrong without ever really excelling. Made one or two important blocks, foiling McAnuff's crosses in the process.

Leigh Bromby: 6

Felt Bromby was the weak link in United's defence. The former Sheffield United man didn't make too many errors but the likes of Jason Roberts easily had the beating of him and come next season I personally wouldn't like to see the site of him in United's defence on a regular basis.

Alex Bruce: 7

Similar to Bromby, didn't really put a foot wrong at the back for Leeds and put his head in where others wouldn't. I would be happy to see Bruce at Leeds next season, even if only as back up.

Paul Robinson: 6

Put in block after block for the United defence and was unlucky to receive a yellow card.

Robert Snodgrass: 5

Didn't play like we all knew he can and missed the best chance of the game before Adam Le Fondre bagged too goals. However, due to reports that his mother has been in hospital this week, it is more than understandable.

Michael Brown: 8

For me, it was a brilliant performance from Brown, he put in tackle after tackle and despite Reading's claims that we were 'dirty' they were all brilliant tackles and summed up how committed United's performance as a whole was. I don't think Brown has had a bad game under Warnock.

Zac Thompson: 2

I don't think Thompson deserved to be sent off but nevertheless he showed his inexperience by lunging in. One thing is for sure, he won't do it again throughout his career.

Danny Pugh: 4

I am not Danny Pugh's biggest fan but today he was particularly poor. Dived in ridiculously on more than one occasion and should have been sent off. Something must have upset the former Stoke man who looked angry all game.

Luciano Becchio: 6

Worked hard all game, in complete contrast to his performance last week against Watford. Didn't get much joy but his efforts didn't go unnoticed.

Ross McCormack: 7.5

In my opinion, the Scot's performance wasn't far behind that of Michael Brown's. Hit the post and his creativity created United's best chance for Robert Snodgrass. When he play's like this, he is a key player for Leeds.

Another good away performance for United, if only we could hold our own at home, who knows what would have happened this season!
