Chelsea's players, staff and fans who made the trip to Tokyo will face even more misery after it emerged that the team's flight home has been delayed.
The Blues had planned to return home as soon as possible but airport bosses have delayed their flight due to late-night take-off restrictions in Tokyo.
Chelsea, who lost 1-0 in the final of the Club World Cup to Corinthians, will not arrive back in England until Monday afternoon leaving Rafa Benitez with a few worries ahead of our game against them in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday evening.
With the nine-hour time difference, and two close fixtures it remains to be seen what team Chelsea field on Wednesday. John Terry is still not fit enough to return after his knee injury which is a relief to Leeds boss Neil Warnock.
Regardless of fatigue and injuries, Chelsea still have a reserve squad capable of beating Leeds should they perform. Torres, Mata, Hazard may not feature but the likes of Marin, Sturridge and Bertrand could all play in the Premier League for other clubs.
Our chances are always going to be minimal but what we do have is the determination to keep going and prove the doubters wrong. Warnock has his personal reasons for winning and the squad will look to show their class on TV in front of a big crowd at Elland Road.
No matter what the experts, stats or managers say...we have a chance. This setback for Chelsea may just play with their minds as they face a tiring 48 hours before our clash.
After losing a third final already this season, Chelsea will be desperate to move on into the Semis with a polished performance.
