Leeds United are set to enter fresh contract talks with El-Hadji Diouf, with rumours circling that two Premier League clubs are interested in the winger.
The 31-year-old is currently on a short-term deal until January, but a string of spectacular performances have attracted the attention of two Premier League clubs according to the players agent Willy McKay.
Diouf's current deal - thought to be worth £5,000 a week could easily be countered by clubs with bigger transfer kitties, but manager Neil Warnock has been assured by Diouf that he will stay until the end of the current Championship season.
"I've been contacted by two Premier League clubs who've asked about his situation in January.
"I know El-Hadji wants to stay at Leeds as he loves it there and wants to help them to get promotion. I know the manager is desperate to keep him and El-Hadji is desperate to stay but this could be his last contract and it has to be right.
"El-Hadji is happy to sign a long-term contract for two or three years but the terms have to be right."
