Leeds sign Vayrynen

Leeds United have completed the signing of Mika Vayrynen on a free transfer after his Hereenveen contract expired earlier this summer.

SOCCER-FRIENDLY/

The 29-year-old midfielder has won 54 caps for Finland and has signed a one-year deal at Elland Road with the option of a further year.

Vayrynen who joins fellow countrymen Mikael Forssell at Leeds, has played for PSV and Hereenveen in the past. Simon Grayson has confirmed Vayrynen turned down offers from other clubs in Europe to join the Yorkshire club.

Although many know little about him, Vayrynen seems a steady signing from his experience alone. Leeds are very thin in midfield and Vayrynen has the experience to settle in nicely at Elland Road.
