Honduras international Ramon Nunez has joined Championship struggler's Scunthorpe United on an initial month loan.
Nunez, who is currently away on international duty with Honduras, has only made two substitute appearances against Cardiff and Scunthorpe since he joined Leeds. Nunez has impressed with his appearances for the reserves, the pick of the bunch was against Lincoln when he scored four goals. The move to Scunny gives Nunez the chance to link up with Leeds cult hero Andy Hughes, who left the club in January.
It is very difficult for Leeds fans to give an opinion on a player they have seen on just two occasions. Against Cardiff Nunez looked sharp and quick on the ball, and looked like a player with confidence. However it wasn't that hard to stand out that night, the rest of the squad were woeful. At international level Nunez won the most valuable player award at the Copa Centro America which took place in January.
Many of the Leeds faithful seem baffled as to why Nunez, has not been given an opportunity. What the fans do not see though is what goes on in training day in day out. Grayson knows what he is doing, United are 5th in the table and pushing for automatic promotion. This time last season Davide Somma was on loan at Lincoln, and we all know what a run of games did for his confidence and form in front of goal.
