Leeds United midfielder Adam Clayton has joined MK Dons today on loan until the end of the season.
The 22 year old has a clause in his contract that will allow him to stay until the League One play-off final, should MK Dons reach the final. Clayton who has only featured for Leeds off the bench, has had previous experience in League One when he joined Peterborough on a month's loan earlier in the season.
The Ex-Man City player was a key figure in Leeds reserves 6-0 win over Hartlepool on Tuesday, scoring a free-kick to round off a solid display. Clayton has been given very little time to show the Leeds fans what he can do, most of his sub appearances have been for a matter of minutes. A loan move will allow Clayton to get some games under his belt once more, and then come back to United for pre-season ready to try and push for the first-team.
