Leeds United and Sheffield United could not be more different if they tried. Leeds are chasing promotion and scoring goals for fun, Sheffield are battling to stay in the division and conceding goals for fun, the Whites should walk it tomorrow, SHOULD.
However a Leeds United promotion push isn't like any other, they have to be difficulties and minor blips along the way which puts the fans through agony. It would be typical Leeds United to slip up tomorrow at Bramall Lane against the blades, but looking at the stats three points should be in the bag already.
Last year I was unfortunate enough to live in Sheffield during my stay at University, and having attended a few games I got a little taste of the atmosphere. Tomorrow will be loud, a Yorkshire Derby will no doubt bring a bumper crowd to Bramall Lane, and of course the travelling Leeds fans will be in full voice as usual.
Team News
Simon Grayson has a full squad to choose from tomorrow, apart from the obvious absentee Patrick Kisnorbo. Paul Connolly has returned from his hamstring injury and will be available for selection, although I do see Eric Lichaj keeping his place within the starting eleven.
Sheffield United on the other hand will be without several key players. Darius Henderson and Lee Williamson will both miss the game tomorrow, after they were sent off last week against Watford. Johnny Ertl will also not feature with a knee injury, and Matt Lowton is a doubt after not training all week.
My guess at tomorrow's line-up is:
GK: Schmeichel
RB: Lichaj
CB: Bromby
CB: O'Brien
LB: McCartney
CM: Johnson
CM: Bannan
RAM: Snodgrass
CAM: Howson
LAM: Gradel
ST: Becchio
My prediction:
Sheffield United will be up for this one, it's a derby and they are fighting for their lives, however I can not see Leeds leaving Bramall Lane without all three points. I hope Bannan starts to add some quality to the middle of the park, and hopefully the Whites can re-find their shooting boots. I am going for a 0-3 win to Leeds.
Lets hope for three points, enjoy the game.
