Bruce and Rachubka depart Elland Road on loan

Leeds United were involved on transfer deadline day for a change today, allowing Alex Bruce and Paul Rachubka to leave Leeds on loan.

Bruce who has failed to make a single appearance so far this campaign, has joined Huddersfield Town on loan until January. The 27-year-old has fallen out of Grayson's plans since joining last summer from Ipswich Town.

The recently calamity Paul Rachubka has also left the club until January by joining League One outfit Tranmere Rovers. After his horror show against former club Blackpool, Rachubka now has the chance to get games under his belt and regain some confidence. The 30-year-old has made seven appearances for Leeds, but fans will forever remember him for his errors against Coventry and Blackpool at Elland Road.

The moves allow both to get games and boost fitness levels, and the pair were unlikely to play for Leeds before January. Grayson seems to have a soft spot for Rachubka, and despite the problems with the fans he may be back at Elland Road in a Whites shirt. Bruce however seems to be on his way out of the club. Out of all the defenders Bruce is the only one not to get a second chance at the back, which proves Grayson doesn't rate him and isn't willing to risk playing the former Ipswich man.
