Boxing Day Preview: Leicester v Leeds

Defensive pairing Andy O'Brien and Alex Bruce look set to miss Leeds' Boxing day clash away at Leicester City.

Bruce was forced off in last week's match against QPR with a hanstring problem, while O'Brien has been struggling with a groin problem since early December.

Simon Grayson will most likely stick with the same starting 11 that has notched up 4 wins on the bounce, with Max Gradel set to face his former club and Robert Snodgrass hoping to make his 100th start for the club.

Leicester boss Sven Goran Eriksson has some injury worries of his own, Curtis Davies (hamstring) and Miguel Victor (groin) are struggling ahead of the match and will face late fitness tests. Striker Roman Bednar had to sit out last week's defeat at the hands of Ipswich due to a knock, but is expected to be in the starting 11 on Sunday.

The Boxing Day fixture's have been kind to Leicester in the past, their last defeat was back in 2004. They will be looking to carry on their good form over Leeds, having already beaten the Whites on two occasions, both at Elland Road in the League and League cup.

Leeds last victory at the Walkers Stadium was in 2002 when they won 2-0 in a Barclays Premier League clash. Grayson's side will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to ten, and carry on their rich vein of form into 2011.

My Prediction:

Leicester and Cardiff are the only teams to come to Elland Road this season and play us off the park. However since our last meeting with the Foxes things have changed at Leeds and we are playing some good football, especially against QPR last week. I think this will be the last fixture before Grayson starts to mix and match with his players due to build up of fixtures. I think Leeds will just pip Leicester to victory on Sunday, my predicition for the score is 2-1 to Leeds with Snodgrass and Johnson to score for the Whites.

Hope you all have a Merry Christmas.
