Marching on Together: Leeds v Bristol Rovers match preview

Following Mondays draw to Oldham Athletic, Leeds travel to Memorial Stadium to face the Bristol Rovers. With the Leeds clinging to the final playoff spot, only one point above Scunthorpe United with an extra match played.

The Whites problematic away record will be put to a massive test as the Rovers have been a curmudgeonly side at home. The Rovers completed a strong February and lost only once, a narrow 1-0 deficit to Championship destined Leicester City. With the club in a bit of a run Paul Trollope is unlikely to tinker with the lineup.

Simon Grayson is slowly understanding the attacking aspect of this club and is expected to make use of striker tandem of Jermaine Beckford and Argentine maestro Luciano Becchio, with Robert Snodgrass in the wings. While the a 4-3-3 with Lee Trundle up-front and Jonny Howson would set the club free, that seems unlikely but Leeds success hinges on crippling the opposition via its attack. The squad is nearly fully-fit with the only absence being Bradley Johnson who is in the sin-bin.

Enjoy the match and as always I will report on it as it concludes.
