Marching on Together: Leeds v Hereford United match preview

Following Saturdays destructive 1-0 loss to Huddersfield Town, Leeds travel to face Hereford United with hopes of promotion starting to flicker. With losses in two of their last three matches, Leeds is slowly seeing their vision of Championship disappearing. While Simon Grayson's changes to the lineup have shored up the defending weaknesses, the plain vanilla attack that has plagued the club throughout the year is highly predictable and rarely feared.

Hereford manager Graham Turner is fighting is own troubles as the Bulls are fighting off relegation challenge. However in a series of brilliant moves they have brought in on-loan some extraordinary young talent that makes this match a must-watch for fans. Sam Hewson and Febian Brandy from Manchester United and 'keeper Péter Gulácsi from Liverpool are all players with very promising futures in the game and will pose considerable issues for Leeds. Last Saturday, they stormed back with two goals by Sam Hewson in the final twenty-three minutes to defeat Cheltenham Town and will be a threat to defeat Leeds as they fight out of the relegation zone.

For the match Simon Grayson is without Andy Hughes and Frazer Richardson to injury along with Jonathan Douglas and Jermaine Beckford are in the sin-bin. Leeds needs to exploit the absence of Hereford's central defenders Josh Gowling and Dean Beckwith who are out for the match.

Enjoy the match and as always I will report on it once it concludes. Until then, we're Marching on Together.
