Thanks for everything Redders

With the imminent appointment of Darko Milanič at Elland Road it's time, once again, for Neil Redfern to return back to the LUFC academy. For the third time now Redfern has stepped in to the head coach/managerial role when required and this stint has certainly been his most successful. After the fiasco that was David Hockaday Redfern came in, steadied the ship, brought in some of the academy's more promising talent and got the team playing some of the best football we've seen for a while.

So far, under Redfearn, Leeds are unbeaten after 4 games. Coming away with 3 wins and 1 draw while scoring 6 goals in the last 2 games. Some say he should be offered the job on a permanent basis and I for one wouldn't be unhappy if he was. But from how I understand it Cellino is a big fan of Redders. This may you think that he'd naturally promote the coach but the Italian has other ideas. Redfearn is to stay as head of the academy, where he has been doing a fantastic job producing the club's next generation of talent. After a highly successful stint there is no doubt that other clubs will be sniffing around. Surely Massimo Cellino has to offer Redfearn an improved contract to keep him happy at the club. He hasn't shied away from the fact that one day he'd like to move into a managerial role so it is imperative he is offered a new and improved contract.

From myself and the rest of the Leeds United faithful, thank you for everything Neil. It is certainly appreciated.
