After an impressive win at Bolton, were back on the road tonight with a trip to Brian McDermott's old club Reading.
Here's some stats:
As Brian McDermott returns to his old club, let's have a look at other Leeds managers who have managed against former clubs.
Note - they have to have managed the side not played ie David O'Leary against Arsenal.
Howard Wilkinson
Notts County won two out of two.
Sheffield Wednesday won only three of nine.
George Graham
Arsenal won one from five.
Terry Venables
Middlesbrough drew one and lost one.
Tottenham lost one from one.
Crystal Palace won one from one.
Dennis Wise
Millwall won one from one.
Swindon won one from one.
Simon Grayson
Lost one from one v Blackpool (lets forget that one!)
Neil Warnock
Won one from one v Huddersfield
Won one from two v Crystal Palace
Unbeaten away:
So were unbeaten in three away games, so when was the last time we managed that in a season? The answer is 2009-10 when we won our first three away games in the league at Wycombe, Walsall and Colchester. We also managed to achieve the same feat as this season in the Premiership in 2001-02 when we took seven points from the first nine available away from Elland Road, with wins at Arsenal (2-1) and Charlton (2-0) and 0-0 at West Ham.
Wednesday night league football
Here are our last 5 league results on Wednesday night:
Stoke City 0-1 Leeds December 28th 2005
Leeds 0-3 Sunderland - September 13th 2006
Birmingham 1-0 Leeds - October 22nd 2011
Leeds 0-5 Blackpool - November 2nd 2011
Leeds 2-0 Blackpool - February 20th 2013
Finally Leeds could brake new territory with a victory at the Madjeski. They have been victorious at Elm Park on two occasions in March 1928, thanks to a goal from Charlie Keetley and in December 1987 thanks to a John Sheridan penalty. However they are yet to win at the Madjeski, losing one and drawing the other two both 1-1.
